Geisha Custom Sneakers - Friday, January 16th, 2009
Hey folks! It’s been a while since I’ve posted some new custom kicks. Too busy customizing, no time for blogging! Anyways, check these out:

This pair of custom Adidas sneakers was commissioned by a loving girlfriend as a gift for her boyfriend. They were created to resemble a Japanese woodcut print, circa the 17th century. On the side of the shoe sits a geisha holding a paintbrush in her hand. She has just finished writing the Japanese characters beside her, which spell out the two sweetheart’s names, along with the character for Love. The trees in the background shed their flower blossoms, which were painted orange to match the recipient’s favorite color. Subtle paint splashes and airbrushing were employed here and there to give the shoe an “aged” look.
Are these customized sneakers for sale? Nope! They were a one-off pair for the lucky guy to enjoy on his birthday.
